Samosas with love from Seattle!

Family recipe with love from Godmother Theresa, Seattle-WA!

Popular snack in our house is Chicken samosas! Easy to make.
Preparation and cook time: 45 min

Ingredients - pastry
2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup water
pinch of salt

For the filling:
1 cup minced chicken
2 TB vegetable oil
1 small onion
2 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp tumeric powder
1/2 roasted cumin seeds
1 tsp chopped mint or coriander/cilantro leaves
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt & ground pepper according to your taste
2 TB lime or lemon juice
Method
Mix flour, salt, oil & water into a bowl. Make a firm dough but smooth. Cover in plastic wrap and leave it aside for 25 mins.
Get ready to make a delicious filling. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan. Add onions, garlic, spices fry until soft.
Add minced chicken. Remove from heat. Squeeze lemon/lime juice.
Set aside to cool down.
Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Roll out each piece into circle. Cut circle into 2 halves.
Use a little water to brush the straight edge of the semi-circle and form a cone shape. Seal the dampened edge by pressing tightly. Hold it and fill 1 TB of the samosa filling & press the two edges together to seal the top. Do the same for the rest.
Bake them for about 25 mins in 350F or until brown.
Bon Appetit!
